Ooh, ooh, ooh, the reason I hold on
Ooh, ooh, ooh, ’cause I need this hole gone
Funny you’re the broken one but I’m the only one who needed saving
‘Cause when you never see the light it’s hard to know which one of us is caving.

Round and around and around and around we go…
crisis loop 02
How many times have we promised to ourselves that we will NEVER do something like THAT again?
That we will NEVER be in a relationship with someone like (xyz) again?
That we will be treated better by our boss, that we will never allow our colleagues to dump on us their tasks, that next (week / month / year) everything is going to be different!

Look at me! I am a new person!

But then, in the end, nothing really changes:

Welcome to your personal version of

Punxsutawney’s “Groundhog Day!”

This is what we do instead: we don’t really change. Or, our change is very slow, so we end up again with colleagues talking behind our backs, not happy at work and unfulfilled, we go through the same phases in life over and over again, we go out (again!) with someone who reminds us so much about (xyz), we still drink too much, smoke too much, eat too much… and this is year after year after year. All those promises…

Is it karma? Is it Family Karma? Or am I very unlucky?
Shall I blame the Gods?
Or is it existential?

What do we learn from our crisis, and how do we make these lessons stick with us?
How do we stop making the same mistakes?
Well, come and see us at our new workshop on Sat 12 May, in Nelson, at 10am!
We will explore Crisis and Crisis Loops from the existential / philosophical, spiritual and psycho-therapeutic perspectives; we will talk and share, meet and experience, confide and maybe dream, and turn of story around.
